Ottawa connector work advances to second phase

The second phase of the Ottawa Connector, opening the right of way between Quartz Avenue and Otis Avenue in Citrus Hills, is completed.

The next phases will be the drainage and retention area, then preparing the road bed and finally laying down the road surface. County crews are doing the work.

The project is expected to be completed in March. The road will provide access from County Road 486 at the Ottawa light south to the Otis/State Road 44 intersection.
