The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who robbed an Inverness convenience store shortly before midnight on Monday.

The CCSO is asking for the public's help in identifying the man shown in surveillance photos as perpetrating the robbery.

Deputies were dispatched at 11:51 p.m. to the Circle K convenience store at 1224 N. U.S. 41 in Inverness after being alerted to the robbery.

The store clerk told officers that a white male suspect entered the store and threatened him with a knife, while demanding that he open the cash register.

The suspect retrieved an undisclosed sum of money, he said, and then fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as being from 5-feet, 8 inches to 6-feet, 2 inches tall, with a medium build, shaved head, goatee and wearing glasses. At the time of the incident he was dressed in a long-sleeved grey shirt and tan or khaki shorts.

The store clerk, although threatened, was not injured.

County residents are asked review the surveillance photos depicting the suspect, and to call Crime Stoppers of Citrus County immediately if you have any information. You can remain completely anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward. Simply call 1-888-ANY-TIPS, visit, or text the word CITRUS plus your tip to 274637.
